Bring on the bag!

So I'm not a big purse fan. In fact, I carry a little miniature wallet in my pocket like men do. I find the big bulky a little difficult to keep control of. Not to mention that it's never perfectly organized. No matter what I do... But I started this new job, and it has so much down time. I decided it was time to get me a grown-up bag. Even though I'm not a big purse person, I still admire them from a distance. I finally broke down and got me a Tommy Hilfiger bag from Ross. I've been admiring Tommy Hilfiger bags for years now. It's so cute, and I love using it!!! So here's a pic of it:

It came down to two bags in the end. The other one was really tall which I liked. I've thought about taking my laptop with me. But this one won in the end. I figured something to hold a waterbottle would be better.

Have fun!

Another blessed day!

William received a phone call this morning from the census people. They want him to work in the office. That isn't bad. It's full time, but it pays three dollars less than the census takers. Regardless, we're grateful he has something. It's a temporary job, but he can still keep looking for something more permanent. In the mean time, we can get all of our bills paid! YAY!!!
I got done with my first week of work. I got to sit in the sit and be driven around. Boring... but I know where several places are on base now. And I get to get my license this next week. It's hilarious. I'm not allowed to drive because I don't have a military license yet. Anyways, I'll be driving my trainer around for a change.
So... it's been a week of joyous news around. And I thank the Lord every day!!!

My First Day of Work!

lol I'm alive! Yesterday was insane! First I had to go to the staffing agency. They weren't ready for me, so I sat in the lobby for almost an hour before they called me back. Then I had to go to work thirty minutes early to introduce myself and take care of things before my shift. Then I actually had to work. I was so tired when I got home last night!!! Work is different. I have to drive around soldiers on base. I don't have a route schedule. It's kind of an 'on-call' job while at the job. lol It was different. But it'll be manageable. And it's the best pay I've ever had. I'll take it!
lol While waiting at the temp agency, Kia Parts called me. I had applied with them that other weekend at the job fair. They wanted to interview, but it seems pointless to me. I work worse hours, less pay, and it's further away. Might as well keep what I got.
Have fun!

I Thank the Lord for Miracles!!!

I GOT A JOB!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Okay, so I got a job. It's actually a job with a temp agency, but it's a temp to permanent position. So after three months, it should be a real job. It has great pay and is full-time. :D I'll be working on Ft. Benning driving soldiers around the local area. It's funny cause a lot of people applied for this job, but I was the only person who had a "P", which means passenger, endorsement. Yay for driving the school bus which gave it to me! It's not in a big bus, though. I'll be driving a 16 passenger van. It's funny cause the lady I was talking to yesterday asked me if I'd feel comfortable driving a big 16 capacity van. My response was simple, "I've driven a 78 capacity school bus. I'll be just fine." She laughed and told me I was gonna fit in great with the people. That's reassuring. Anyways... I had to do a drug test and some other things. Hopefully, I'll be starting today. We gotta wait for test results. lol We all know it'll be clean. :D But if not, I'll start tomorrow. I'll blog all about it I'm sure. Still...

I thank the Lord for miracles. :)

Another Successful Sunday...!

So today was the fourth Sunday of the month. The primary president and I came to a conclusion that the fourth Sunday would be a music day. That leaves all the time to me. And it was wonderful! This was the first time I had all 35 minutes to myself. We learned an entire verse in Junior primary, wrote down our favorite songs, and got to play a game! We even got out on time! We weren't late for once! It went really well. Senior primary went well too. I took the words from the song that we learned for this month, cut them into phrases and strips, and made the kids line them up correctly. It was a real struggle for them. But I know that it helped them get it into their memory even better. And next month, we'll sing that song once a week in opening exercises. Then Senior primary wrote down their favorite song, too. And of course, we sang 'Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam.' It's working so well, and I'm a little nervous with how smoothly everything is going. But I'm really enjoying it. I'm glad the planning is occuring easily. It makes it so much more easier to work with the children! Yay for amazing Sundays! (Oh, and Nursery is finally going well. They love singing time now!)

Dreaming of Flowers...

We received a 1-800-flowers.com brochure in the mail, and it suddenly reminded me of how much I love flower arrangements. Maybe a job in a florist shop could be fun... Anyways, here's a few pictures from the brochure that I like. I got them from their website. I even took pictures of them and put them as the wallpaper on my cell phone. lol

I'm not a big fan of roses. In fact, I don't care for them at all really. But when they're paired with gorgeous white calla lilies, how can I say no?

Orchids are an all time favorite. They are simplistic yet their beauty radiates.

I love the lilies in this picture. I actually think that this arrangement has far too much red and pink in it. But if I could take these lilies and put them with some white and yellow flowers... Oh, it would be so pretty!

And of course, lilies. Lilies are one of my favorite flowers too. They are full of joy and give happiness.
Now you know my favorite flowers and a secret dream! Have fun!

Temple Trip!!!

So all of this job stuff has been super confusing and crazy. Each day that passes seems to leave me a little more frazzled. While praying, I felt directed to go to the temple. I kind of started to laugh. "Why didn't I think of that before?" So I went. The Atlanta Temple is closed for remodeling. It's only 1.5 hours away. That leaves the good people of Georgia looking elsewhere for temple trips. The next nearest one for us is the Birmingham, AL temple. It's a good 3 hour drive one-way.
But it was worth it! Every bit of it. The drive up took a little because I had to catch an evening session. I got some traffic when I actually hit Birmingham. And the drive back was totally insane! There was fog everywhere. I thought I had seen fog while living in CO. It got pretty bad on parts of my bus route. It got that thick out here, but it lasted forever!!! Wowzers! I had no clue that an entire state could be covered in fog. There was fog the instant I left the temple until I got home. It was totally insanely beautiful. And a little scary at moments... lol
The Birmingham Temple is different. It's the smallest temple I've ever seen. It shares a parking lot with one of our meeting houses. It's schedule is ever so confusing. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays there are only two evening sessions. Wednesdays have three days sessions, and Saturdays have around 4 day sessions. It's so very confusing. Oh, and it's got to be the prettiest temple ever! Oh, I've never seen such a gorgeous temple. Every bit of it screamed in simple elegance.
This trip was so worth it. I'm sure I'm rambling way too much. But it was a marvelous trip. I'm still all stressed about work, but I feel stronger and more able to face whatever may come my way.

So here's a fabulous night picture after I got out.

And here's the side. I thought the tree with the windows was cool looking.

Here's a really neat hill on the side of the temple. When spring and summer are here, it'll be nice to come early to sit on the hill and do some scripture study.
Angel Moroni, of course. Can't have temple pictures without him. Lol

And a sunset pic. Thanks for reading my long blog! Have a great blessed day!!!

Happy Birthday, Momma!!!

As I'm sure you've guessed, it's my mom's birthday! I absolutely love my mom. We struggled a bit when I was a teenager. Most moms and daughters do. But now I feel like we're becoming the best of friends. I love my mom, and I'm glad that we get along and that I can talk to her. Thank you, Mother, for all you've done for me. Happy birthday to you!

So I've decided to post about my kitties. I know I'm overly fanatical about them. But how can you resist fur, whiskry faces, and purring? It's God perfect combination! And I think I can finally admit that once I do have a kid, it'll be jealous of the cats. lol Hopefully our kid will be cat crazy like us!

So here's my beautiful Mister. It's super hard to get pictures of him. I consider myself lucky to have this good of a picture. He is always staring off into the distance trying to see what to pounce on next.

And here's Mister again. I was hoping to catch him interacting with Missy, but that didn't work.

And of course, Missy. Here's the stray kitten that we've caught three times. She's most definitely cute, and she has the cutest little meow ever. She kind of croaks super high pitch. It's so silly.

And all the pictures of Missy will be under the bed because she's totally anti-social. She's still terrified of anything that moves. However, hopefully she'll change over time. We've had her since Jan. 11. William thinks that she isn't ours and that she's an outside kitty. My response is simple: why is she still here then? lol I think she's gonna stick around.

So there's my kitties! They're cute as can be and definitely give lots of love! Have fun!

My little new apartment...

Well, since I'm new at blogging I figured I could play catch up today. Not to mention that I'm still way sick and don't have any desire to get out of bed. So here's a few pictures of my little apartment. It is messy, and I apologize for that. One thing I've noticed is that tinier places are dirtier. So please forgive the mess. Okay. On with the pictures!

Here's a view of the dinning room...

And our lovely living room with the sheet up for the projector since we don't have a TV.

My adorable husband and our living room which leads to the bathroom and bedroom. :)

The fabulous hallway and my surprised kitty. He'll never get used to the camera.

And here's our ultra-stuffed closet with the towering set of boxes we use when we move. Funny thing is, we have more that fold up and are stored under the bed. lol

Here's the rest of the wall with the bookshelf and part of our messy bed. That's messy simply 'cause I don't like making the bed. lol

Here's our smushed together dressers because they won't fit anywhere else. This room so lacks style, but it's well lived in!
And our awesome little bitty bathroom! I think it's one of the cutest around.

And here's our super small kitchen! It looks like it has hardwood, but trust me, it's all fake. But at least the color scheme fits my personality!

So thanks for looking at the apartment. It looks like all the other ones in the world, too. Have a great day!

Still sick and staying busy!

I get sick a lot. However, it's rare when William gets sick. Yesterday, we didn't even look for jobs because we felt just awful. We were lucky enough to get the laundry done. And I got two songs prepared for next month. One of the counselors came to me and asked the primary to sing in sacrament. I agreed because thankfully this month we have a short song. So I got 'He Sent His Son' and 'Help Me, Dear Father' ready to teach in four weeks! I am way excited though. And it feels great to have so many things ready early so that I can adapt my lessons to be more specific for the needs of the children. It's way awesome!

So these papers are for 'Help Me, Dear Father'. Vs. 1 is the top row and vs. 2 is the second row.

These pictures are backwards. The bottom picture is what should be read first. This is for 'He Sent His Son'.
So these pictures show the adventures of my sick day. I hope you like! Leave a comment please if you think it's good or pretty sad. lol :) Thanks!!!

Waiting for News...

Well, we went and applied at the job fair. And so did about 1000 other people. I suppose we'll get this job if God wants us to. lol William and I showed up fifteen minutes early. We were hoping to get there earlier, but it didn't quite happen. By the time we got there, the line had wrapped around several sides of the building. We stood in line. Thankfully, it was a warmer day. It was about fifty outside. But it had rained all morning and was going to rain in the afternoon. As a result, we're now sick. We hope that we get better soon so we can find some work!

Job Hunting

Today is an important day. There's a job fair happening in about two hours. Kia parts factory is hiring 250 people. We're going with pretty resumes and insane hair for me. It's actually raining for the first time in like two weeks! lol I hope that we can finally get employment. I'm ready for some yummy food! :)

Off to a confusing start!

Okay, so this is my attempt at a blog. I don't really blog. It's not quite my thing. In fact, neither is Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, or anything else like that. Which leads one to question, "Then why is Kristie doing this?" One simple reason: I am unemployed. It's too late at the moment to go job looking. I'm sure I won't tell anyone about this either. In fact, I actually made a blog before. Silly me, I forgot all the names and passwords to get to it. It's out there somewhere, lol! Anyways, happy secret blogging to me!!!
