Meet a few of my friends...

I went to Indiana this past week. I visited from Thursday to Sunday, and it was wonderful! I saw my friend, Jennifer, and her family. It's been over three years since we last saw each other. I met Jennifer while working at McDonald's. I was with her while she was pregnant with her first child, and she was with me while William was deployed to Iraq his first time. We've been through thick and thin (literally in our sizes lol) and this is definitely a friendship that'll last through anything and everything.

Meet Bubba, aka Jordan, the adorable little boy who stole my heart. William, you have met your match! Jordan is two. He will turn three in July.

Meet Nette, aka Jeanette, who is a little princess in the making. I can now say that I have seen every single Cinderella due to her. Nette is three turning four in August. And she is one super tall girl! She came up to right below my chest.

Here's Jennifer, the mother of the mess. Without her, everything is guaranteed to fall apart. She is a sweet lady with a heart of gold.

And here's Joe. Joe is the father and provider of it all. He works a midnight shift polishing floors at Wal-Mart, comes home to help with the kids, and still finds time to remodel the house.

What an amazing family! It was a wonderful trip. We didn't do any 'big' things, just walks and drives and pictures. It was absolutely lovely. Oh, yes. Jennifer told me that being around her kids for three days would be the best birth control ever. It backfired. I told her on Sunday that I still wanted one. She called me desperate. Here's to them! Thank you for the fabulous trip!!!

Too Cute to Believe!

Okay, so ignore the mess around the couch. Most of the house is clean. That's like the only dirty spot. lol William came home this morning exhausted from attempting to fish yet again. He woke up at 5:15 to go fishing. I simply couldn't resist getting a picture of him and the kitty sleeping together. And he says he doesn't like the cat. Right... he so loves the cat!

New Favorite Songs

I've been a country fan for over a few years now. And country has come out with some fantastic hits lately. I usually prefer to listen to the men. I think the women in country just aren't as good, but they have blown me away lately! Just take a moment to listen to these songs. You don't have to even bother to watch them. Just listen to the words...

There is a God, Lee Ann Womack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s9l5EvHeQs
I love this song. I am an absolute fan of nature and life. This songs says how I feel so beautifully. I think I really could enjoy watching the clouds roll by and the grass grow. There really is lots that can be learned from it. Now if only the bugs would go away... lol

The House that Built Me, Miranda Lambert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykksHmn1PK8
This song is so personal to me. William and I want to buy around 20-40 acres of land and build our own house. We actually want to build it ourselves. We're even going to start with a grandmother apartment so I can develop my basic construction skills. I don't want to mess up the house lol. I want my children to be able to say these things in their lives. I hope they never feel lost like the girl in the song, but I also hope that they know their home is always there and loving arms await them.

And who can resist a song that talks about going to your happy place? lol This song is perfect for a difficult day. It reminds me of the ones I love and the things that are truly important. Is there really anything else that matters?

A Wedding!

I'm not going. I'm out of town and haven't been invited either. However, we are starting to get to know this couple. They're getting married in Atlanta on the fourteenth. So congratulations to Tiffany and David. I made them a card. Here's the pics:

Who knows, maybe a new friendship will blossom eventually. PS, if it's bad or tacky, please let me know. Thanks!

Oh, yeah... yesterday William and I bought yet another organizer for all of my paper stuff. I can't believe it, but I now have 11 drawers full of paper, glitter, markers, scissors, stickers, tissue paper, and etc. Ahh... way too much fun. I LOVE IT!

The last one...

And thank goodness! I made my last card for Mother's day today. I made more than I thought I was going to. It turned into quite the project. I'm posting my mother's card finally. She received hers the other day. I also made one for a lady at work and my friend Jennifer. Here's the rest of the pictures:

This card is for my mother. I hope she knows how much I love her.

This card is for a lady at work. She's such a doll and such a great lady. She's a good friend and a good person.

And this one is for my friend, Jennifer. Hers was very difficult to make. It was a great idea, but most of the cards I made were elegant. I had a difficult time figuring out how to make it 'fun'. But it turned out cute! She has a two and three year old right now.

Have a great day!
