Brave Adventures!

My awesome sister sent me a flower hair tie. I thought it looked beautiful, so I tried to use it. My hair was too short. So I went ahead and made several with bobby pin things. Take a look at how cute they are! And with spring in the air, I'm excited to wear them in public!!! This is a brave adventure because I hope the bees don't think they're beautiful either...

I thought I'd give a view of how it looks in my hair over all. And after taking the picture, I discovered it opens up a beautiful strand of red hair.

These orchids are white, and I colored them with highlighters very carefully. The purple one turned out absolutely beautiful. I need to make a pink one still. Oh, and please ignore my hand in the picture. I'm not sure how it got there. lol

Here's the other ones that I made. This orchid is trimmed with yellow. It's difficult to tell in this picture. I wanted the rose to look like it had rain on it, so I put hot glue drops on it to enliven it. :) I love them, and they look amazing!!!

Kitty Got a Bath

Mister escaped outside the other day. Thankfully, he decided he loves us lots and waited outside the door. I came home from church and saw him sitting in the middle of the sidewalk two doors down from our place. However, as a result, he got something that irritated him greatly. So William gave him a bath last night. He wasn't angry or happy... just really disgruntled. As we know, Mister doesn't always like taking cute pictures. This was the best I could do.

So here's to wet kitties everywhere. It's about time to get clean! lol

An Accomplished Weekend

I made some rain sticks for my nursery kids. The inside is filled with rice and beans. I used them yesterday, and the kids loved shaking them and singing. I go to nursery twice. The first time we used them and the second time we danced. They are so cute! Each side has a different picture, so I took two pictures.

And William bought me some flowers for our anniversary. They're called campanas, I believe. The first picture shows how they're a little prickly. They are beautiful, and I'm so happy he got me flowers. That doesn't happen much.

Today is our fifth anniversary!!! :) :) :)

We celebrated last weekend because I have to work all weekend. We decided that instead of presents, we wanted to get something for the house. So we bought brand new pots and pans that are nice quality. They should last a very long time.

We got a nice set, but I've used them already. So I couldn't take pictures of all of them. Not to mention that could be pretty boring. Oh, and they are nice. I like 'em.

Kitty Love!!!

I have been fighting off a cough or something for about the past week. Yesterday, I finally caved in and stayed home from work. I was very bored and eventually took a nap. But my kitty took great care of me!!! He came and slept with me all afternoon. I can't believe he actually let me take a picture of him!

He's so cute and wonderful!

Creative Thinking...

Again! I had fun yesterday. I made some things for primary for a Christmas song. Christmas isn't here yet... not even close, but the idea was here. So I made it! I really gotta focus on Mother's day and Father's day next. But I think my little Nativity scene is somewhat cute! Will says my wise men look like women. Any ideas for me?

Oh, my! I found two trees with these monster blossoms on them at work. One blossom/flower is as big as my hand. It's amazingly beautiful! I don't have much to say. Just enjoy their beauty!!!

Good News!

I shared some of my lemon/raspberry pound cake at work with a few people. Earlier this week, I spoke to one man about making it, and he said that it sounded too fancy. Plain was best. However, he was very nice and tried it. He said it tasted good. Yay!!! I had another man give it a try. He took a bite and said it was wonderful. Then he tried to share the rest of his piece with others. They turned him down, and he ate the whole piece right there on the spot! There wasn't any stuffing it in his pockets to 'save it for later'. I'm so glad to hear positive reviews! And I even have a few tricks up my sleeve for next time I make it to keep it from flopping again. Now I wish that y'all lived close by and could try my creations yourselves! :)

Creative Yummies!

Or so I think... William and I felt like attempting to create a mix of lasagna/ratatouille. We used layers of eggplant, squash, and tomato. We also used two types of sheep cheese: etorki (that's a cool name!) and mancheuga (I think I misspelt that one). We put thinly sliced potatoes on the top. It actually tastes really delicious; it's just not filling. It has to be eaten with bread or something. lol

Then I decided to wear my pretty apron and make a lemon/raspberry pound cake. It turned out beautiful, but while it was cooling, it flopped. It made me want to cry!!! The outside was a little more brown than I would like, and the flopping made it mushy on the inside. I'm saddened, but hopefully my next attempt will turn out even more pretty. One positive happened... it tastes yummy!!!

Chasing Away My Blues!

Go away, you grumpy blues! Nothing says it better than Josh Groban and Craig Morgan. I'm going to take their CDs to work and listen to them all. Yay for proactiveness and music!

What better way to stay happy than listening to "You Lift Me Up" (Josh Groban Closer CD) and "God Must Really Love Me" (Craig Morgan That's Why CD)? If you haven't heard them, now's the time to look them up on youtube or something. lol :) :) :)

Feeling Homesick...

I don't know what's been up with me for the past week or so, but I've been very GRUMPY. Doesn't matter what you did or said, it was wrong. lol Then I started feeling homesick/lonely yesterday. I called every friend in the book and will probably call them all again today. lol Good thing they love me and don't think I'm annoying.

William put Missy outside yesterday. I came home, and she was waiting by the door. She wanted in so badly. So I let her in. But that annoyed him, so I told him I would put her out today. Which I did. Then she came right back in again. Go Missy! I don't know if she's in or out right now, but she'll do what she wants!
